Our mission at Lovefest is to create a ripple of love that begins within ourselves. By embracing self-love and acceptance, even of the uncomfortable parts, we cultivate the ability to give and receive love authentically. This love extends to our families, communities, and, ultimately, the world, inspiring connection, compassion, and a more harmonious planet.

LOVE FOR SELF
The awareness that we are all deserving of Love. Embracing and accepting the most authentic version of who we really are, and learning how to give and receive Love in flow with gratitude.
LOVE FOR COMMUNITY
Being able to create space for community and connect with others in a state of unity, clarity, care, curiosity, creativity, and compassionate communication.
LOVE FOR PLANET
Respecting all living beings and Planet Earth. Understanding that everything is connected, and actively choosing to be of service by influencing positive change for the all Humans, Animals and Nature.
The purpose of the following principles is so we all have the ability to make effective choices for the community. This happens when we have a shared understanding of the principles; and we all embody the principles based on our common values.
1. Inner Journey.
We explore our inner journey by being committed to our own personal development. We do this by adopting a growth mindset through practicing self-inquiry, developing self-awareness and continually evolving physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually.
We connect with our breath, we allow ourselves to feel our emotions, be mindful of our thoughts, and aware of our environment through all of our senses.
2. Compassionate Communication begins with being fully present and listening with an open heart and open mind. We take responsibility for our own feelings and actions. We reflect first and then express ourselves authentically and with compassion.
Non-Violent Communication practices are encouraged to communicate needs and emotions in a way that can bring about a deeper more loving connection.
3. Being of Service to self, humanity, and nature. Through contribution and growth we give to others and nature beyond ourselves.
4. Humility: Knowing that each person is just as important as another. We honour diversity and that everyone is unique and gifted in their own way. “I am because we are” We practice that by honouring our highest values, fulfilling our purpose and therefore experiencing joy.
5. Harmony. We actively seek opportunities to be in harmony with self, others, and nature. We make choices to be free from substances that impair our cognition so we may be completely present with ourselves and others.
6. Building Community.Through healthy relationships and welcoming diversity we come together to create, to learn, to share, to play in a way that contributes to a healthy community.
We build community through working on projects together centred in Love. Such as land projects, community projects, events, gatherings, festivals, healing retreats and educational workshops.
7. Connection to Land. We are humbled by the land that we stand on. Showing respect to the earth and being grateful to nature. We reconnect through learning and striving to utilise indigenous wisdom in our principles.
8. Celebration. We recognise our effective choices that have enabled us to embody life. Breathing itself is a miracle.
We raise the level of vibration of all aspects of our lives and our surroundings by celebrating just being alive.
Lovefest is a Not-for-Profit Private Foundation established to encourage, foster and support humankind through the expansion of conscious awareness and mindfulness.
Founder
Joe Figliano is the visionary and founder of Lovefest. He has a dream to create magical spaces around Australia and the world: that allow more Love for Self, Community and Planet. His passion is to share his vision of Lovefest, and expand where it’s needed within communities. His gift is connecting with people that are in alignment and bringing people together , with Love .
He has co-created all Lovefest events (over 20) in different regions, communities, in different venues , bringing together local teams and facilitators.
Joe is now looking forward to giving the space for others to create Lovefest events while he embarks on building his dream and vision of Lovefest Global. Know that even if you have all his attention , Joe always keeps an eye on his vision .
Kat Cowling is a co-creator and a leader in communities centred around self-awareness, connection, and living with purpose. She fosters open communication and creates safe, supportive spaces for people to explore life's challenges and magic.
Exuding inner peace, Kat trusts her intuition and encourages others to tap into their own wisdom. She believes in the power of being present and inspires those around her to embrace simplicity and intentional living. Kat is a connector, bringing together curious, authentic individuals who love to dance, play, and collaborate with purpose.
As the leader for South Coast NSW, Allison has brought her magic to Lovefest Wollongong and Lovefest Shoalhaven as the local lead. She leads the team with a beautiful sense of flow and trust, creating a harmonious environment for collaboration and growth.
Beyond Lovefest, Allison is a Tantric Healing Practitioner and the Temple Curator for Midnight Garden Temple. She is deeply passionate about curating sacred, transformative spaces where individuals can heal, activate, and expand within a supportive community.
Khushi Devikalar is an amazing human and fun bollywood dancer that has brought much magic to Lovefest via her connection to the ancestors and spirits of the land, building incredible installations filled with Love along with delightful decorations.
She is a professional interior designer who helps Lovefest to create visions and intentions for events. Also creates space planning designs for camping events by using her designer skills. She has been an important leader at Lovefest as she continues to share her gifts to create spaces that bring more love in the community.
Khushi brought the vision of the Love Portal to Lovefest 11.11.21 and has continued to evolve that vision and is passionate about continuing to bring it to Life in the Lovefest 11.11 festivals.
Yvan Fournier began with Lovefest as a photographer with an amazing ability to capture the moment and really bring out the Love and magic in others. Yvan is also known as CareBear , for his grounding hugs and holding space for individuals.
Yvan also loves solving all types of problems and has been co creator of the Lovefest Values and Principles and Camping weekends since 2020. He has supported Lovefest many times as logistics and site manager. You will see him zooming around on his scooter, wearing the Lovefest colours, stop him, and experience his famous hug.
