Experience Acroyoga and Movement Theatre as my little Goodbye meeting <3

with community lunch (hopefully) in a park!

It's been 6 months already that I have the privilege to kinda live in Sydney. In this time I did not manage to have a steady work nor a home on my own. As a giver it is challenging to receive, but I think, I did a great job. I was spoiled and blessed by so many of you. I could stay on your couches, in your rooms, in your beds, in a room for myself. I always had a roof <3 Thank you so so so much for your support. Just to clarify, I am not leaving for good. I am planning on coming back at the beginning of March. I just need a break of moving all the time and planning and organizing. So, I decided to go back to Indonesia, where I have a cheap place to stay and the food is effordable as well. I'd like to take my time to be creative there, and prepare my next stay in Sydney- to handle studies, work and home situation with more ease :D. After a couple of weeks in Bali, I will head to Laos, where I will attend, for the second time, a wonderful Osteo Thai Massage training which is 4 weeks long. This time, I will participate as a volunteer and facilitator. One idea is to offer a mini training when I ll be back in Sydney, maybe 4 Saturdays in a row, a Thai Massage training, for those who find interest in it and would like to learn grounding, meaningful and healing touch. I will think about this further when I relax in Bali. But I am gonna miss you and I would love to see you before I have the next intense adventure. So, please come and join, also after the workshop for food and conversation <3

Here are some short explanations about Acro and Movement Theatre:

Acroyoga is a fun and collaborative form of physical activity that combines elements of yoga, acrobatics, and therapeutic movement. It involves partners working together to create various poses that often include one person acting as the base or support, another as the flyer (who is lifted), and sometimes a spotter to ensure safety.

It's not just about strength or flexibility; it's also about trust, communication, and connection between the practitioners. Acroyoga poses can range from simple to complex, and they often require focus, balance, and teamwork. Acroyoga isn't just about physical exercise; it's also about building relationships, and having fun while being mindful and present in the moment. It's a fantastic way to connect with others and oneself.

______________________________

Movement theatre, also known as physical theatre, is a form of performance that relies heavily on the use of the body, movement, and gestures to tell a story or convey emotions and ideas. Unlike traditional theatre that heavily depends on dialogue, movement theatre focuses more on physical expression, using the body as the primary means of communication.

It combines various elements such as dance, mime, gestures, and often incorporates elements of other performance arts like music, visual arts, and spoken word. Actors in movement theatre often use their bodies to create characters, settings, and scenes without relying on extensive dialogue. This form of theatre encourages creativity, physical expression, and the exploration of emotions and ideas through movement, making it a unique and visually compelling art form.
