It's the BIG one - Castle Village NEW YEARS..!

WHEN:

29th Dec till 2nd January - 5 days across New Year's!

Thursday 29th - Day 1: general entry opens at 8am. Self care and set up your own camp first, then help another Villager do the same! xox But regardless: ground in, relax, reflect on your year that's been, pinch yourself that you're here... explore the creek and see if you can spot a platypus, attend a workshop if anything interests you, have a well-deserved nap under grandfather tree, just be...

Friday 30th - Day 2: chill, jam, play, swim, and keep just breathing deep for the simple knowledge of where you are...

Saturday 31st - Day 3: You're here... And you've been 'here' for your whole life already... Time to say farewell to 2022... A welcome ceremony to the land, as well as a wildly traditional Castle Drumming NYE night, will be the plan... It's about damn time...

Sunday 1st - Day 4: Your new year starts in a green valley, a crystal creek, and with Tribe all around... 2022 is over... What's on your horizon...?

Monday 2nd - Day 5: Totally different yet still the same... Bask in what we've all helped create, the simple moments, the D&Ms, nature's quirks, beauty, fierceness, and grace... We transition out by 4pm... What have you gained and/or let go of from the year of 2022..? Where are you going, what are you doing for the moments upon moments ahead..? Till next this tribe of Castle meets... Whether next month, season, or year? xox

WHERE:

1hr 30min north of Syd in that hidden valley piece of paradise...

- Directions to this place, our 'Castle Village Sanctuary' will be sent out with each online allocated ticket..! (In previous years we had a few people get confused, so please make sure you put in your correct email address and make sure to check your SPAM folder/s)

VENUE INFORMATION:

  1. As there is only one road in and out of our very special valley location, PLEASE make sure you do drive SLOWLY and RESPECTFULLY on this road, as there more than likely will be any amount of horse riders, young kids on bikes, bushwalkers, farmers moving stock, and neighbours also using this road

  2. The "TajMaPoo" sits grand. 5 showers + compost-loo palace... One of the best 'poo-with-a-view' structures ever designed! Please bring only earth friendly shampoo, soap etc.

  3. No power or reception is provided - remember it is self-sufficient camping!

  4. While pristine rain and flowing creekwater is plentiful onsite, you are recommended to practice that self-sufficency and make sure to bring your own water for your time here.

  5. 'Leave No Trace' means taking ALL of your rubbish home - please come prepared with buckets, bags etc. And crucially please do not drop rubbish in any of the neighbours bins.

  6. Cook for yourself, or contribute bulk foods and ingredients to communal meals in the camp kitchen! its YOUR choice! Make sure to ring your own plates and cups.

  7. Kids, toddlers, mum and dads are all welcome! - a Kids Space will form a fun and cozy retreat for days and nights which we really invite Parents to get involved with if they're keen! While we want to definitely include the youngest members of our village, please be aware that the kids space IS an unsupervised space - Parents must remain responsible for their child at all times.

  8. This space and Village experience is vulnerably 'clothing optional', and beautifully so... However, we ask that if nudity be your beautiful liberation, that individuals please keep a respectful distance from the Kids Space and kitchen when in full and fiiiiiine liberated form xox

  9. Please ALWAYS ask permission for photography, especially where people are nude, or in private/vulnerable moments (ie Workshops).

  10. Open fires will be limited to designated circles, closely managed by our Fire team.

  11. Behaved Canine companions are welcome! But each owner must be held responsible for the conduct of their dog. The "CCC" (Canine Code of Conduct) means they and their pupper will be: Friendly with strange dogs/new people/children's attention, watching for and clean up after their dog's mess, kept away from/respectful to wildlife, and not be making excessive noise. If any dog is found to be not upholding the 'CCC' (which the owner agrees to with their ticket allocation), and it happen's more than twice - we will sadly have to ask that owner and their dog to leave.

TICKETS:

There will be NO tickets sold at the gate - You MUST arrange your ticket prior to arrival.. (PLEASE don’t make us have to turn you away to go get reception, or tell you that they've sold out.)

CODE OF CONDUCT:

By reserving your space at this gathering you are accepting the following code:

The ‘Castle Village’ is a Drug & Alcohol Free, Family Friendly & Leave NO Trace event.

Unofficial motto: "Its always not WHAT we do, but HOW we do it..."

~ Be Safe... Take care of yourself, and each other. Take heed of the fire, the creek, our safety/Enviro precautions, if you have a dog with you, you will be expected to be pre-emptive, and responsible, for the actions of that dog as stated above re the "CCC".

~ Be Respectful... Be light on the land and Leave No Trace... Be kind to people, their hearts, their stuff, and their space.

~ Be Honourable... Respect all boundaries... If it’s not a “f*ck yes!” then it’s a “No.” Consent IS sexy... And it is YOUR responsibility to be radical in seeking that consent BEFORE you touch, or make your move... never Assume.

Be Authentic... This sometimes scary, always vulnerable, invitation of connection is what this ‘Castle Tribe’ was continually founded on… (It is also THE factor on why it is a Drug & Alcohol free event...)

We are vigilant in holding each other and our code - Castle Guardians will be ready to listen and help if needed… Please save this link if you are ever wanting to contact them: https://bit.ly/2FreRyX

“Expect Nothing, But Be Prepared To Do Anything”
- to make this a safe, fun, loving, and mutually connected experience...

WORKSHOPS:

- If you want to share your music, art, ideas, philosophies, stories, skills, whatever it may be, feel free to list it and the location you'll be offering it on either of the black-boards found on-site in the communal hang-space!

LEAVE NO TRACE:

All that you bring MUST be prepared to also be taken away... And please, do NOT put any rubbish in neighbours bins - This request is crucially what our ability to hold these gatherings hinges upon!

We recommend putting your name/ph number on Re-usable items and bringing minimal packaging wherever possible!

WHAT TO BRING:

We are each accountable for ourselves - please bring everything you need to be self-sufficient and comfortable for your time in Village, including:

~ Water & Food for yourself. There will be a space for communal cooking (if people get the inspiration!) But regardless, please be sure to bring your own: pots/pans, eskies, utensils, cups, and burners to ensure YOU are well watered and nourished! 20L Water per person is recommended, and if you need bags of Ice, a GREAT tip is to also freeze whole bottles of 1 or 2L of water! They not only obviously melt into drinking water, but help any bag of Ice you buy last a lot longer!

~ Camping Gear! Teepees, vans, swags and hammocks, all abodes are welcome in the Castle Village! If you have spare shade cloths, carpets, gazebos or cushions please bring them as they’ll help hold comfy communal areas and much needed extra shade/rain shelter!

~ A Drum, or Instrument/s of Choice! What gives you your 'Vehicle of Connective Expression'? What facilitates your own journey on our New Years Eve to let go in to the potent rhythms, beats, and mutually-held rising and falling tales of physical form? In the freedom and 'vessel' that is our own heart-fire of an evening or week-long escapade!?

~ Decorations! Flags, solar lights and lanterns, flowers, natural body paints (no glitter), durable dress ups. As every Castle Veteran knows, the magic IS real if we make it so...! If you put the courageous shout out there you will find more than one willing comrade to help you weave that vibe... And we all know deep down... "it's always and only our Vibe that attracts our Tribe"..!

~ Lastly but most importantly... Please just bring your SELF... How we look after our own needs defines the true capacity for our resource in helping others...

No more. No less xoxo

Like all 'Castle Tribe' gatherings... This Village is nothing but what we all make it...

What YOU make it by accountable action...

As Community, as Tribe...

All the above is what 'The Castle Village' invites and aims to help vulnerably nurture...

And we can’t wait to see, hold, hear, and simply share the fact of being alive with you there...
